Patron parties 2010 in Santa Pola
From the 31th of August until the 8th of September 2010 the patron parties of the town of Santa Pola in honor of the Virgin de Loreto are celebrated.
Street parades and a replay of the conquest of the castle of Santa Pola.

Orihuela Costa Cup, Beach Volleybal Tournament
The 13th, 14th and 15th of August the third annual volleyball tournament will be held on the beach Cala Bosque in La Zenia, Orihuela Costa, the south of the Alicante county. The tournament start on Friday at 17:00 and will take al 3 days till midnight with party for both visitors and participants.
The inscription is open to everybody over 16 years, teams are 5 or 6 player, 2 of them must be lady´s.

Hogueras Alicante, Spain 2010, from the 20th till the 27th of June
The Hogueras de Alicante, the city festivals of Alicante, this year from the 20th to 27th of June 2010.
As many will know the city festivals in Spain are mostly large and spectacular festivals with many attractive things for all ages.
The Hogueras festivals in Alicante are known for the good atmosphere, typical Spanish food, the Hoguera statues and the firework festival. The Hogueras festival is to celebrate the coming summer, it goes back centuries already but in teh year 1928 it became an official festival for the city of Alicante.
The festival goes on for various days and has lots offer for all ages, the Hogueras statues throughout the whole city, music, dance, spectacular fireworks, bands, typical Hogueras dishes, flower offers for the Virgin del Remedio, barracas (streetbars with tapas and cold drinks), costumed street parades and bonfires.

15th international festival in Javea, Spain
From the 17th of june till the 19th of june 2010 in Javea they have celebrated the 15th international festival.
This year again a great succes with stands from various countries like: Spain, France, Italy and Marocco, new this year are Cuba and Peru.
As it is a cultural festival the countries present their typical cultural aspects and drinks and food on their stand. On the stage there dance ans music presentation and also concerts from local groups.

September in Santa Pola
Last week the annual festivities in honor of the patron saint Our Lady of Loreto in Santa Pola began again, in short, the city festivals of the town of Santa Pola. Santa Pola is a fishing village about 20 minutes by car south of the city of Alicante.
In the summer the city center of Santa Pola becomes the heart of many cultural and sporting activities.

Tram nochador, Alicante-El Campello-Benidorm
Enjoy the warm Mediterranean nights, and arrive home safe, the “Nochador” tram rides again this summer!Due to last years great success the “Nochador”, the night tram from Alicante to El Campello and Benidorm, drives this year from the 2nd of July till the 12th of September every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
The tram runs every half hour along the coast between Alicante, Puerto del Mar to the station of El Campello. Twice a night the tram Nochador rides to the station of Benidorm.

Boat schedules to the Tabarca island
Island Tabarca also known as ” isla plana” or New Tabarca is the only inhabited island of the Communidad Valencia. There are about 30 people living on the island during the year and they are devoted mainly to activities related to tourism and fisheries.
This small island whose dimensions are approximately 1800 meters long and 400 meters wide offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a rich cuisine based on local products of the sea. Holiday during the Hogueras parties in Alicante
The Hogueras Bonfire parties in the city of Alicante, from the 20th till the 24 of June, is one of the most important parties for the city of Alicante to prelude the summer coming to the city. The Hogueras parties are celebrated since the year 1928. The actual celebration of the birthday of “San Juan de Bautista” on these dates is much older but in the year 1928 the Hogueras parties in Alicante got their form in which we celebrate them still.
The Hogueras de San Juan are also celebrated on the same date in towns near Alicante like Elda, Benidorm and San Juan de Alicante. In Valencia there is a similar celebration called Las Fallas that is celebrated in March.
The Hogueras parties in Alicante are celebrated with parades in the street to start the festivities, presenting the different groups and commissions to the public. The groups and commissions arrange the organization of the Hogueras in their part of the city.
